I love you so much, Jesus. I can’t imagine what life was like before you came into my life. It seems like so long ago, and it was. A lifetime ago. An old lifetime ago. I think of the person I was and ask myself “Who was that person?”
My mornings were once so dreaded I hated to go to sleep at night because I didn’t want to wake to another morning in which I was overcome with fear and pain. Now I wake ready to start my day without that horrible feeling of not wanting to be. I wake with a feeling of confidence and joy for another day I can spend in companionship with you.
Dear Jesus, you have changed my life, and made me into the person I was as a child. An innocent and loving person not afraid of life or death. I walk in a path with you,. A path that leads me to success every time I try to do something. I realize this is not me doing these wonderful works but it is you.
I am so thankful to be chosen by you to be saved. I know you chose me to walk the roads I have in life in order to find my way to your heavenly door. I know I am blessed. I know I am free at last of fear, because when trouble comes my way I need only to reach out to you, and you will sustain me.
You gave your life for me, and I have given you mine in return. I listen for your direction, your words that speak to my inner soul. I want for nothing, because I have all I need. You keep me warm in the winter, and keep food on my table. You clothe me and comfort me when I am ill or just hurting from my worldly life.
You promise me everyday I will see you one day in the home you have waiting for me, and that is the most comforting promise of all.
I walk with you today so I can walk with you in the tomorrows of heaven…
