A great high priest has passed into Heaven,
Jesus Christ who ensures our sins forgiven;
For He is the true Son of God that we seek,
That is not touched by what we feel weak;
Even though He was tempted just as we,
Still was able to cause all the sin to flee;
Let us come boldly to His throne of grace,
For obtaining mercy as we see His face;
Enable us to find grace in a time of need,
Separating them from everything I greed.
Jesus Christ is truly the great high priest,
He is with His Father at a Heavenly feast;
His time here on earth was an experience,
Seeing the temptations and disobedience;
But will power so strong and impeccable,
Making life for Him much more tolerable;
Now with being in Heaven He is fortified,
In the power of God after being crucified;
And when it is our time to leave this earth,
We will enter that feast filled with mirth.
