Civility mourns humanity’s loss
to the specter of self, denying the cross,
a tsunami of innocent crimson is let…
a crisis,…. creation will not soon forget.
O for the hearts forged from above…
divinely endowed with natural love,
who cherish the content and life’s precious claim
most noble their stature,…… “mother” their name.

The political scavengers placate the mob,
and crush the defenseless heart’s every throb;
they shun the decrees of the power on high
with strokes of their pens, innocents die.
Self-serving convenience revered as their god
their lives end in failure…their cause but a fraud,
the voice of the few outweighing the more
soon will be silenced,‘cause heaven keeps score.

So, take rest ye innocents ‘neath God’s firey throne,
soon the injustice will clearly be shown.
The harvest is nigh, the King waits at the door,
false gods will topple and heaven will roar.
No more will selfishness deny life’s right,
His coming is certain to vanquish that night.
The horizon embraces that glorious day,….
but rest in the meantime, while God’s people pray.
