Poetry
Juicy is the Lie
Lonely is the life of good,
so few to occupy.
My thoughts and dreams are of the One,
whom which I can’t deny.
I sit and watch the people,
who have obviously adorned.
The flag of Christ but nag of vice,
has made them all ignore.
They mass about and scream and shout,
Hallelujah…Amen!
We always talk the talk,
but only walk it now and then.
I pray for change and wish for peace,
so easy is the way.
But when we cast our pearls down,
so easy is decay.
The youth is lost, the world darkened,
every dollar made.
With families broken, truth unspoken,
morals cast away.
How can we solve our problems,
when the devil has our tongues?
Betraying hope by pawning off,
commandments to our sons.
We hide behind a bloody flag,
defiant in our speech.
And yet succumb unto the Lie,
so juicy is the peach.
