Lord, how many times
have I sinned today
How many times
Did I go Astray

How many times
How many times
My heart repents
And "I'm Sorry" chimes

I strive to be perfect
To be like you
But over and over
I'm saddened and blue

The harder I try
The more I fail
And into your crucifix
I drive a nail

What am I missing
What holds me back
From the faith and humility
I seem to lack

What can I do Lord
To grow closer to you
On what should I focus
Let me hear what is true

Guide me My Lord
As I start to stray
Prod me and nudge me
To go the right way

You died for my sins
Because of your love
Guide me kind Savior
To your kingdom above.
