FOR THIS HE CAME

This gift of hope and Holy treasure
For this He came, God’s Emanuel
His gift of love we cannot measure

He came for us, bringing hope and peace
In Him we’ll rest, our burden and care
His Majesty to reign, His power increase

This babe from Bethlehem, joy evermore
The Father’s gift of love, hope, and peace
This Christ child, to worship and adore

A promise for all, to bring life new
Born in a stable, with love and grace
From Mary’s song, a dream come true

Power and strength, new each day
Faith given new, from power on high
Trust Him more, when seeking to pray

Precious King, for us to tell
Our Fathers gift from Christmas
This Child we know as Immanuel
