ARE YOU MISSING MIRACLES BECAUSE OF A POOR PERSPECTIVE?

All around us are miracles. Maybe not the, I prayed and suddenly someone is healed from cancer miracle, but small ones none-the-less. We have to LOOK for them. We have to be observant. We have to be discerning and credit God where credit is due. Is not a birth a miracle? What about a death? How about the moment when true love is found uniting soul mates?

How do we define a miracle? Is it always in regards to a healing? Does it have to be a physical healing? Couldn’t it be a spiritual healing that comes through the laying down of a will or an act of unconditional love? What about forgiving a person who we had no intention of forgiving but through the power of Christ we are able to offer it freely.

Perspective: A mental view or outlook. Hmmm, what if today you decided to look for the miracles in your lifetime. Start at your birth and move down your personal timeline.

Before my birth my parents were told they were having another boy. My birth was certainly a surprise for them. The miracle is that my folks loved me just as much being a girl. They weren’t disappointed.

I would need an entire book to list all the small miracles in my life. There are several times I should have died but my life was saved. My mom’s recovery from lung cancer is another miracle in my life as I think God knew I still needed her support and guidance.

Be sure you don't miss any of the miracles in your life because of a warped perspective. Personally, I have given the devil too much of my time thinking over worries and fixes. Blessings and miracles are so much better to count as you fall asleep; they’re even better than sheep. You might want to try counting these tonight.
