You May Say
You may say it’s all a lie.
You may say there is no need.
That He cannot be proven,
That He cannot be seen.
Or I am good; there’s no need to believe.

You may say I don’t need a savior.
You may say people will make fun of me.
That it’s too late for me.
That I’ve tried and failed,
Or not today; maybe tomorrow.

You may say I’d have to give up too much.
You may say I can’t leave my friends.
He was just a great man,
That there is no God,
Or there are many ways to Him.

You may say God is good.
He wouldn’t send anyone to Hell.
You may say there are other god’s.
It doesn’t matter which you believe.
God’s Word says He created me.

Not with sight can He be seen.
Not with logic can He be understood.
The Potter is not the clay.
Only His handiwork can we see.
It takes faith and trust to believe.

He made us in the image of Himself.
With the ability to know Him and believe.
He made Himself known through His Son.
He sent His Holy Spirit to guide us.
He is the great “I Am”; the One Living God.

The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
The God of Noah, Moses, and King David.
The God of Peter, Paul, and Mathew.
The One who created good and evil.
The One who created darkness and light.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego
Went through the fire for Him.
King Jehoshaphat trusted Him
When three armies surrounded him.
Job’s faith never waivered
Even though Satan took all he had.
Joseph chose to still believe
After his own brothers betrayed him.

He created us to be,
He created us to see,
He created us to breathe,
He created us to believe,
In Only Him!

The only way to the Father is through His Son.
As for me and my house, I choose to believe!
