Random Act of Kindness

What can I do today
To touch another soul?
What need can I meet?
What shall be my goal?

Is there someone in the family
Who needs a helping hand?
A word of encouragement
Or by their side to stand?

Is there a friend who's all alone?
A friend that I should call?
A friend that really needs me
Just to touch base, that's all?

Is there a stranger waiting
Just to get a smile?
Or perhaps a prayer or two
As they're going through some trial?

What about the homeless
Is there something I can do
Can I donate food, or clothes
Or even diapers to help them through

There's nursing homes and hospitals
Filled with folks in need
If I can pray or read or sing
I can plant God's seed

It doesn't take a lot
To find a need to fill
A Random Act of Kindness
Can help my heart be still
