Nothing happens without an oath,
It is a promise to give growth;
In as much to affirm and swear,
Unto God committing to share.

The Law had made nothing perfect,
That so many people neglect;
But it brings us a better hope,
That helps living trying to cope.

Through which we draw nigh unto God,
Maintaining to honor and laud;
For we talk to Him when we praying,
Proving when we trust and obey.

The Lord swears and will not repent,
For Christ is the perfect Son sent;
As well as a priest forever,
From an oath that will not sever.

By so much that Jesus has learned,
About human nature has turned;
Having a better covenant,
With love as being dominant.

And they indeed have been made priest,
Such a number to say the least;
Because by death they are hindered,
While others were bewildered.

So Christ is then able to save,
Those that are worthy from the grave,
Because of Him no longer grim,
Able to intercede through Him.
