In my reading this morning I was impressed with the realization that we are ambassadors of Christ and ambassadors of peace. The Lord once said as you enter a house let your blessing of peace be upon on it but if they judge themselves unworthy take back your blessing. This world is so full of anger and sin and divisions and troubles. It exists between races, nations, religions, politics, neighbors,
coworkers, competitors, in siblings and even in marriages.

Let us be ever mindful of the peace of Christ which is a blessed hope for every man. Let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts to give hope for all who reside in the land of the valley of the shadow of death. May the hope of Christ shine forth to pierce the darkness of the hearts of our fellow man. Our God has true peace and He laughs at men who promote themselves as men of peace who themselves will bring peace to all men. We have the example of such a man today as our POTUS who declared himself that he would restore all things and break down the dividing barriers between men. Now we find that the reality has only brought all the more division and hatred among men. This man thought he could bring peace even between Muslims , Christians and Jews !

There is only one true peace and it comes through only one man, the Lord Christ Jesus ! His peace is not as the world gives peace because the world stands in opposition to all peace, righteousness and the love of God. Jesus is the only man ever able to overcome the world and by His death, burial, resurrection , glorification and ascension, He alone has made peace possible and available to all who would receive of it. As we abide in Him, we become servants of peace ...and blessed are the peace makers. Amen ? But realize this as well...not all men can or will receive the peace of Christ . It is not for us to decide or judge these things but merely to be vessels of mercy in the propagation of peace while the response is beholden to the recipients. Since spirit and flesh are at enmity with one another we will likely even encounter opposition, resistance and persecution. We may even encounter this within our families and even in our churches as well.

Grace and peace and mercy be yours in abundance in the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ our Savior !
