No one can ever tell
Where I’ve been
Or how far I fell.
I keep it to myself.
It keeps me in my Hell.

No one can ever tell
How sad I feel
Or that I’m not very well.
Little do they know
I couldn’t take one more nail.

No one can ever tell
What hopes are gone
Or dreams that did fail.
Sometimes I do think
I’m standing on a rail.

No one can ever tell
Who needs a kind word
Or to come ring their bell.
Hope can be shared.
You can’t ever tell!
