Each load heavier on the soul
The law lives in human composure
To fulfill the deeds found in scroll

As a lamb to slaughter He goes
Blood dripping from His brow
In Him shall heaven open and close
On judgment day all knees bow

Pain defined by a single word
Blood glazed on precious skin
Mangled yet pacing forward
Til the heart beats it’s last within

Exaltation through humiliation
By His weakness we are strong
Reclaiming innocence in creation
In Christ, love marches on
