Lord, as you look down
Upon your handi-work of long ago
Are you sadly shaking your head
And pacing.....to and fro


This isn't what you planned for us
The trouble, terror and strife
You blessed us with this wonderful earth
as your breath gave us life


They took your word, out of school
Public prayers, weren't to be uttered
Opening the way for "Satan's" tools
while God fearing christians shuttered


I can't express my sorrow lord
For the ones who push you aside
But, thank you for the place in my heart
Where I know you'll always abide!
