One need only to turn on a TV history channel or scan the internet, to get a synopsis on the subject of aliens. Do they exist ? Why do they exist ? And if so, how do they exist and why are they here ? In other words, in what form would they appear and what would be their purpose in life ?

From a Christian perspective, my initial reaction would be to go directly to God's source, the Holy Scriptures.

We know God designed the earth for life ( Isaiah 45:18 ). However, my first clue, concerning this alien form of life, is taken from the very first book of the Bible. ( Genesis 1:1 ) Here, we see that God first created the Heavens ( plural ) and the earth ( singular ).

Does that tell us anything about life existing way out in the heavens? Let's move on.

In Genesis (1:1-31 ) God created the plants on the earth on Day 3, birds to fly in the atmosphere and marine life to swim in the ocean on Day 5, and animals to inhabit the land on Day 6. Human beings were also made on Day 6 and were given dominion over the animals.

However, God does not mention placing life on the lights of the heavens. In other words, God fails to describe any type life, be it plant, animal or human, on the stars or planets out there in space. Could it be that God did not design these vast solar systems for life? ( Psalm 115:16 ).

You see, God gave man the responsibility to watch over the earth, ( Psalm 8:6-9 ) not the heavens. Nonetheless, as we know, man made a mess out of caring for the earth ( Genesis 3:6 ) and was cast out of the Garden of Eden because of sin. Which resulted in God's promise to redeem mankind. ( Genesis 3:15 )

The heavens, however, were made to distinguish the day from night and to distingue the seasons. ( Genesis 1:14 ) Without these heavenly bodies, there would be no need for a calendar. No dates, no seasons and no birthdays. Humans could have possible lived forever and not aged. But as in all things, God knew best and thus our world was formed. ( Psalms 19:1 ) ( Psalm 8: 1,3,9,)

Getting back to aliens. When we look at life, in light of the scriptures, alien life doesn't really make sense. Man was made in the image and likeness of God.( Acts 17:26 ) ( Mal 2:10 ) Then, man, not aliens, fell from grace and in need of deliverance. ( Romans 8:10 )This redemption came to earth in the person of the God-Man, Jesus Christ. ( John 3:16-17 ) ( 1 Tim 2:4 )

You see, if we did have aliens on the earth, they probably would not be human and would not have a soul that needed saving. Conversely, when and if they sinned, they could not have their sins forgiven. God's plan of salvation was for humans only. ( Romans 5:12 ) ( Genesis 6:3 ) They would not be blood relatives of Adam' sinful race, so the blood of Jesus could never pay for their sins. ( Romans 5:12 )

Could Jesus have gone to the different planets, lived a sinless life and died for the aliens, then come back to earth to die for mankind ? No! Jesus died only once ( 1 Peter 3:18 ) for the sins of the whole world. Jesus is once and forever the God-Man. He was crucified for our sins, raised from the death and is now at the right hand of our Father, God, ( 1 Cor 15:1-4 )

I realize the scriptures do not directly address the question of alien beings, as the scriptures do not explicitly confirm the existence of intelligent life from other planets. However, the scripture does teach that the only things God created with intelligence are the angels, man, and the animals. ( Ezekiel 18:4 )

The only remote possibility, I could give for aliens, is that about one third of the angels possibly disobeyed and fell with Satan, ( Isaiah 14:12 ) ( Luke 10:18 ) when he was cast to earth from Heaven. So, we know because of this disobedience, Satan now has a host of demons roving the world, doing his evil work. ( Hebrews 12:22 ) ( Revelation 12:3-9 ) ( 2 Peter 2:4 ) Could they be in the form of aliens ? You be the judge? ( Ezekiel 1:1-28 ) ( 2 Thess 2:9 ) ( Ephesians 6:12 )

What about UFO's one might ask ? I have no answer here. I do know that Elijah took a fast trip up into heaven, by way of a fiery chariot. ( 2 Kings 2:11 ) My conclusion is that the UFO phenomena is probably Satanic in nature and demonically based. I do not believe there is life on other planets, as God's love was for our world alone. ( John 3:16 ) I do suspect, however, that what has been manifested is Satan's deceiving powers,( Ephesians 6:12 ) designed to destroy mankind's thoughts. Thus, helping his evil schemes. If Satan is the "prince of the power of the air", then why can't he fly his demons around in the air ? Thus, UFO's. Yes, Satan is real and alive in this world. ( 2 Cor 11:14 ) ( Rev 12:17 ) ( 2 Tim 2:26 )

You see, this old earth is rather unique. It is here that God placed mankind, knowing all along that man would fall from His grace. So, as a result of the man's disobedience, it is here where Jesus became man, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, and was resurrected. ( 1 Cor 15:1-4 )

This alien debate will probably go on until Jesus comes for His church. ( 1 Thess 4:17 ) ( 1 Cor 15:51 ) Just like the concept of ghost, some may claim to see them others don't.

However, the most important relationship, is having faith in an invisible God. ( Hebrews 11:1 ) ( Romans 10:17 ) A God, that by His free grace, ( Ephesians 2:8-9 ) can change a person's life from that of total separation from God, to one of constant worship. A life with no eternal hope to one of true fellowship forever with the living God. ( Romans 10:9 ) ( John 1:12 ) ( Acts 16:30-3
