told me how you wanted to go
My soul knew you were right
But my heart cried no!

How can I say good by
We shared our life and story
How can I let you go
But you need to go home to glory

Holding your hand as
you knew it was time
Your smile showed you knew
I was there and your light
was ready to shine

Jesus called you home
two days ago
I know the angels sing
Your soul now aglow

You will be missed as
You lived a full life
Now freed of pain
worry, and the strife

Good by my friend
You mean the world to me
You showed me my own goodness
and the best was yet to be

I keep you in my heart
I remember the times we shared
My soul rejoices with you
and my heart will be repaired
