LORD...I AM SORRY I MADE A PROMISE
TELLING YOU I WOULDN'T SIN
THEN BEFORE I KNEW IT
I WENT AND DID IT AGAIN
YOU KNOW THAT I AM ONLY HUMAN
BEING TEMPTED...IN EVERY WAY
STILL, I'LL TRY HARD TO REFRAIN
I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO SAY
WHEN I ASK YOUR FORGIVENESS
LOOKING FOR A BRAND NEW START
I HONESTLY MEAN WHAT I'M SAYING
IT REALLY DOES COME FROM MY HEART
YET...I AM MADE OF FLESH
AND FLESH YOU KNOW...IS WEAK
SO IT IS IN HUMBLE REPENTANCE
YOUR...PARDON THAT I SEEK
LORD, YOU SEE HOW THIS WORLD IS,
IT'S ROUGH HERE...DAY AFTER DAY
SO I BEG FORGIVENESS FOR PROMISES
THAT I MAY HAVE BROKEN TODAY
