Are you true to yourself
Or do you change when peer pressure ensues
Is it your beliefs that define oneself
Or do your actions speak differently than you

Is the fence getting straddled when you get asked questions
Or do your answers give a clearly explained position
Are you standing firm upon what it is that you believe
Or are you allowing others to influence your dream

Hesitation is never a friend
Procrastination never gets you ahead
Execution allows you to go forward
Achievement is that satisfaction you move toward

Is fear something that you let prevent
Or are you one that can overcome those elements
Are you going to remain silent if challenged
Or will you show devotion and get competitive

When that edge approaches will you stop
Or will you let faith carry you over the drop
Will there be a celebration of what you did in the end
Or do you plan not to share the joys with other friends

Resistance is never a friend
Denial never gets you ahead
Sacrifice allows you to go forward
Victory is that satisfaction you move toward
