In Harm’s Way
Why harm God? God the Father don’t let his children walk in harm’s way He takes us around trouble and despair. As I sat in the parking lot of Tony’s Seafood waiting on my neighbor to come out I noticed the children with their parents and how they were allowed to just run free at two and three years old. I almost was jumped on by one woman who said I should mind my own business. A few minutes later her little girl almost got hit by a car but the policeman jumped for her just in time. Then she started fussing at the two babies telling them they know better than to run in front of a car. God said “nobody prayed for the Saints and nobody prays for the children”. Your child is not grown; hold their hands in public. Parents pay attention to the children for they don’t always do what we expect and they don’t think like grown adults. God never leaves us or forsakes us. He encamp his angels around and about us; how much more are we to keep the children out of harm’s way?
That is how we leave Jesus to wander around us. He is wondering if “am I just another stranger”. He says to take his hand then and let him lead you all the way to heaven. How often does He want to hold our hands and we push them away? How many times has He reached out to help us and we refuse the help? How many times has God spoken to us and we didn’t obey? When we don’t obey God’s voice we cause others and ourselves to be put in harm’s way. Harm means injury, infliction, damage, impairment, evil, wickedness, abuse and outrage. How many times like that woman have we thought things were harmless? How many times have we thought things to be pure and innocent? How many times have we thought situation were controllable and safe? Parents saved and unsaved we have a charge to keep; to train up a child in the way they are to go. Pastors and Leaders in church we have a charge to keep; to teach and rear up Saints in the Gospel. God is speaking and we can’t allow children or Saints to run around unattended.
When Saints are left unattended just like sheep they stray. We put them in harm’s way where they are vulnerable and Satan that evil, toxic, virulent is planning a disastrous attack against them. We don’t have time to regroup ourselves; repent and be about God’s business souls are at stake. God got us He takes care of his own. When we should be praying for the Saints and the Church we waste too much time praying for ourselves. Adults in Churches are just like children to God. They are the kingdom of God and their loins need to be strengthened. It’s no time for a link in the chain; all the loose links have to be removed. The kingdom of God is the heart of the believers of Christ. God dwells in man through Christ with the Holy Ghost just as in the beginning. God spoke the Word and the Holy Ghost moved at the Word and caused man to become a living soul. Souls are at stake.
The kingdom of Christ began in this life and will be perfected in the life beyond. We are prepping souls to be a part of this kingdom. It’s time we put aside our mind, our thoughts and ideas and continue the work Christ began in us. We are putting Christians and Children in harm’s way. We cannot allow them to flirt with the devil. We cannot forgo, quit, relinquish, or abandon our call. For what reason would we just walk away from God’s covering? This is a mistake; we need to trust God for all of our resources; He is our star in the east. He will work miracles in our lives if we hold up. He will give us the vision we need just as He did the wise men that went to Jesus. When we take everything to the Lord in prayer He will lead and direct our paths and keep us out of harm’s way. We call our decisions, perseverance, and stability in question and quit our steadfastness to God. Why do we feel unworthy? This is the test of endurance.
In Galatians 1-3 Paul was dealing with the compromisers urging him to agree for Titus a pure Greek to be circumcised but Paul didn’t compromise his stand. When he did not a resolution was passed granting liberty to the Gentiles. Because Paul withstood the compromisers Titus became his special ambassador to Corinth after Timothy had returned without succeeding. Titus was vigorous and skillful and won a clear victory for Paul and was able to bring to Paul in Macedonia a glorious report, with a stubborn minority holding out against Paul. Titus reinforced Paul in the work he began for Christ. He was charged to finish the collection for the poor Saints in Jerusalem that had been promised over a year before help under the stimulus package of Titus. These people were the first to pay and the last to receive. Titus didn’t flinch at the work he went at it and did it. Titus later was in full charge of the mission station in Crete. Paul warned him against the Gnostic heretics there. We too have a charge and we need to be about God’s business doing it.
We are to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. We are to present them to the Lord for every child born or born again is called holy to the Lord. Either we are offering them a sacrifice (Jesus) or we are offering them as a sacrifice to Satan. The Holy Ghost will reveal the things we need to know. We don’t want no soul to die before they have seen the Lord. When we come in the presence of the Lord we are to come in the Spirit; for we move by the Spirit of God. We are to bless the Lord for the people and pray that when they depart from our presence that they stay in God’s presence and be at peace according to the Word of God. We must see the Salvation of God and prepare the people to also see the salvation of the Lord. Jesus must come alive to all men and we help turn on the lights.
God wants to move but we have shut him down. We are his workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works which God has before ordained that we should walk in them. It is God which works in us both to will and to do of his good pleasure that we be fruitful in every good work and increase in the knowledge of God. Let’s consider God and one another and provoke each other to love. God wants us to prove our work and then he will rejoice himself alone and not another. We work out our soul salvation to God not man. It is God that plants the Word, develop it, and cause it to grow in us. He is the cultivator of grace and He is able to make that grace abound toward us that we always have all sufficiency in all things. Don’t just hear today but act on what you hear; be a doer and not just a hearer. The triumphing of the wicked is short and the day of the hypocrite is but for a moment. Many have increased in vanity but God takes his time and make soldiers for his kingdom work here in the earth. Many are called but few are chosen; therefore put away sorrow from our hearts and evil from our flesh and walk in the way of God.
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. The love we entertain is the love of God and that love will take us through. The fire of the love God has for his people will burn up all of our woes if we allow the Holy Ghost to have his way in us. We are not conformists but transformers of souls. Our affection is set on things above not on things on the earth. We are to teach the people that they are not to be overcharged with the cares of this life for it is subject to vanish at any time. People are too drunk off of themselves rather than renewing their minds that they may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect Will of God because their exists in the world today too much pride. Today and every day is the day of the Lord; He can come back at any time. God rested from his labor on the seventh day which is the Jewish Sabbath where they came together to worship. When Jesus died and was resurrected the disciples gathered for worship to observe; the Lords supper on the first day of the week calling it the Lord’s day.
Saints don’t fight about days every day is a day of thanksgiving. The Christian enters into rest from their old life into the new life of Christ. This is a spiritual phenomenon. We commemorate God’s rest when he had completed the Creation. What is it that we do that we need to take a rest from our labor? We have put ourselves and the Children of God and man in harm’s way. While we take a rest what will happen to the soul that came while we were asleep? When we love God He expects us to love one another. He commands us to love and care about each other need and this will induce a desire for the presence, possession, well-being, or promotion of God.
Get out of harm’s way and take someone else with you. Speak up and tell of the goodness of Jesus Christ. We don’t want to be manslayers or murderers of the Gospel but we want everyone to escape the temptations of the Devil. We must crucify that old man knowing that the body of sin has to be destroyed and not served. To be carnal minded is death but to be spiritual minded is life and peace. The carnal mind is enmity or the enemy of God and is not subject to the law of God. They that are in the flesh cannot please God for God is a spirit and they that worship Him must do it in Spirit and in Truth. It’s time to put off the conversations and things of the old man because when we come to Christ we are made brand new. It is not hard for the believer to conform themselves to the Word; they just don’t want to. Stay out of harm’s way.
