Where there's smoke, there's fire
Is there one for hire
Don't get caught in the mire
While singing in the choir

Out the window watch it go
Our earned money they throw
These talents they will bestow
No room for trophies you know

Honest figures never will align
Achievements they fail to find
Was it by innocent design
Or not to give peace of mind

Mistruths are no object here
Just to help forward a career
To the highest bid they cheer
Ability never overcomes austere

If only the powers would forgo
All their selfish wrongful cargo
By remembering yesterdays gusto
And all freedoms good old tempo

Yes, with smoke comes the fire
Back to our liberties we desire
In God we shall always trust
His eternal promises is a must


A COMMENTARY ON THE ABOVE POEM

You've probably heard of the old cliché' " Where There's Smoke, There's Fire". In this new age, in which we are living, society overlooks the fact, "if it looks like something is wrong something probably is wrong". You see, the new modern philosophy now being embraced is, "it's always the other fellows, fault". Regardless of the political outcome, this political environment seems to always initially blame all others for their mistakes and always think the worse rather than the best, given any situation, by assuming a traditional thinking individual is guilty of an injustice before being proven innocent. So, how does this new opinionated mind-set relate to today's Christian world and how can this false concept be changed?

Let me just reinforce the fact that Christianity has not changed, only the people have. ( Malachi 3:6 ) ( Hebrews 13:8 ) Christianity is the same today, as it was when the church was first established, on the "day of Pentecost. ( Acts 2:41-47)

Although, there are some church's which do not necessarily abide by all the truths of the New Testament church. ( 2 Timothy 3:5 ) Nonetheless, there are many still out there in the highways and the hedge that do. It is to these churches, that I give a big "Holy Salute". ( 1 Cor 15:1 ) ( Philippians 1:27 )

And customary to the established traditional New Testament beliefs, comes the New Testament 's basic doctrine. That being the "full gospel". ( 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 ) Is your church teaching the" full gospel ?"

It's sad to say, however, that the title of Christian seems to have eroded, as has the true church, in today's political correct circles. The title of Christian has always been a very good example of the follows of Christ, from its very inception within the early Church. ( Acts 11:26 ) ( Acts 26:28 )

As mentioned, in this political correct current world, the title of Christian seems to have become rather revolting within certain circles. Much like the title of policeman, if a Christian Minister or a well known Christian Layman succumbs to a sinful act, the very first media headings are scoped by the word "Christian".

I feel often times in this present age, Christians can better fulfill the fundamentals of the gospel by being known as a "follower of Christ" than be called a "Christian". Reason being, in this sad political correct world in which we live, being called a Christian seems to limit ones witness. When known as a "Christian, then this political population seems to be enticed to label on us, according to certain political connotations. Also, the populace seems to feel required to treat Christians a certain negative way. According to this interpolation, evil then tends to hurt our Christian testimony.

However, if we Christians stand up and testified that we are "follower of the living Christ", then not only are we obligated, according to the scripture, to witness for our Savior but these moderate political factions have no rebuttal. ( Romans 1:16 ) ( Proverbs 11:30 )

In sharp contrast to Gods people, standing firm to the gospel, the scripture tells us there will come a time, when all evil minded people will receive their just rewards.( Psalm 21:8-13 ) ( Psalm 97:1-12 ) ( Isaiah 30: 8-13 ) ( 2 Chronicles 7:1) ( Jude 6) ( Deut 4:23 )

You see, I've read the back of the book and we ( Christians ) will win. It's so sad that so many individuals are taking the easy path of political correctness, contrary to God plans and purposes.

So, is it true that "Where There's Smoke, There's Fire ? "What do you think ? You be the judge. Anyone, who is on fire for our Lord, will surely raise some smoke, within those opinionated correct circles. ( Hebrews 12:29 ) ( Romans 12:11 ) ( 2 Cor 9:7 ) ( 2 Cor 11:24-27 )
