Lord Jesus, my body physically aches and I can barely move.

I hurt so that each step vibrates throughout my entire body.

Relief is not found in medication and no pillow offers enough comfort.

Doing what is necessary is near impossibility through the pain haze; but,

Lord Jesus, thank you my body physically aches to remind me of the pain you endured to buy my salvation .

When you were beaten beyond recognition and blood poured from your body, you could barely step one foot in front of the other walking to Golgotha. Simon of Cyrene was compelled to help carry your cross.

When you were forced a crown of thorns on your precious head and the flesh of your back was ripped open with a cat of nine tails, there was no comfort except knowing you were in the will of our Father to erase the iniquity of the world, to erase my own iniquity.

As you hung on the cross, you refused to deaden the excruciating pain with the gall that was offered; focusing not on your own suffering but humanity in its entirety suffering separation from God the Father.

Thank you Lord Jesus, for your pain borne to call all those who would come to the Father through you to be free.
