On my daily walk, I notice all around me. Today, I particularly noticed the honeysuckle blossoms as they wove through the branches and under-growth. Across the breeze, I could smell the soft fragrance of the offering of the wild growth of honeysuckle. I am reminded in this how God so blesses us in the simple things that we often take for granted. Even when we are unaware and about our busy lives, there the honeysuckle continues to flower and remains ever present as an offering from God's Storehouse.

Moreover, the honeysuckle's shape actually reminds me of a trumpet which could if it made a sound resound an announcement of God's calling to us even in the white and golden bloom. I was born in the south and have lived here all of my life, and I can always remember the honeysuckle's presence. How blessed I feel as I remember that God is forever, present even now, and daily He offers wealth in many ways one of which we find nature’s bounty such as the sweet fragrance of the honeysuckle.© Juanita Pittman-Brown
