I feel like I’m looking at You through a microscope
Through my fingers
Because I know You’re something like the stars burning up the sea
Something to which the sun is only a firework
A sparkler in a child’s hand
And You love me
And that’s something
To cling to
Perhaps that’s why they call You
The Rock
Because knowing I am loved
Is like the crack under the door
Letting in the light
And if I opened it
And let it shine on my face
Maybe maybe maybe
You could be the anchor
On my life-raft
