Lord are you on this ship with me?
while the winds are boastful and mean
Putting me through, the agony of feats
the very soul you had redeemed

This soul ship it does ask
how long before the tides will shift?
After days and nights have came and went
Lord when will these trials lift?

My mast of faith is still holding up
the ship never changed it's dierection
And it's counting on you to see her through
believing it's, under your protection

But, Lord the winds have picked up some speed
blowing, ferocious, on every side
Showing no pity, not sparing at all
Lord, this is being some ride

Then the sea came with a great tempest
rising up, from the deep
Bringing with it more toil and troubles
ever so strongly, each did creep

This purchased vessel must still sail on
and keep it's anchor in place
For the Lord promised, it wouldn't be lost
if I keep it, before his face

We will ride out these ripples in the waters
and endure the winds that blow
For our Savior he has the upper hand
and in control of it's rapid flow

He will carry us through the raging sea
and will say, ye winds, be still
For he's in the midst of the troubled waters
and they must obey his will

When we're going through Life's tests
the waters they will get deep
But we have God's word to rely on
and you'll never find him asleep

So just know O' souls the tides will shift
we will have our day to rejoice
For there is nothing that lasts forever
so be still and heed his voice

Now the ship may suffer some wear and tear
but, that's only to help build us up
For it's purpose is to make her strong
though bitter, at times, the cup
