Wonder where to find the Lord,
   where to find Him, wonder.
When your hope has been shored
   and you seem Life's blunder.

'Twixt the flame and its heat
   find the one true God;
      'twixt the flavor and the meat
         before your taste buds throb.
'Fore the Truth meets your passion
   becoming your conviction,
      He is each saint's bastion
         void of contradiction.

He is closer than your thoughts
   holding hands with your feelings.
Revelation He has brought
   to share with you His dealings.

'Twixt the proton and electron
   He dances with the nucleus.
You know not where He's from
   along with His Son, Jesus.
Playing among the paths
   of each heavenly body,
      He is patient with His wrath,
         for He is lowly and not haughty.

Much nearer than your doubt
   with help for your believing,
      wanting in when He is out,
         desiring your retrieving.
He is there, all for you,
   the object of His love.
He can show Himself true
   and make you borne above.        

In the hour and the second
   of your numbing day,
      He has called, even beckoned
         that you would only pray.
From the time you were born,
   even 'fore there was your name,
      thinking of you He has sworn
         that you would know His fame.    

Find His heart in the Word,
   find the Father in the Son.
You will know you've been heard
   when you and He are one.

Then when the time comes again
   with your life is falling apart.
He'll be betwixt your head's din
   and your noisy foolish heart.
