BOOKS AND THINGS

The love of learning, the secret nooks
There you find sweet serenity in books
Those special places of hidden things
Things grandma could do with strings.

Growing up that special smell found
On the back sun porch and all around
As a child, memories that always last
Our time in life goes by way to fast.

Search deep in your mind for things
Of your past, the happiness it brings
The kind from yesterday’s innocence
As imagination shines it’s brilliance.
