The Forgotten Ones
Who are the Forgotten Ones?
There are those who have been given a death sentence,
Who die due to some disease in their body or
Simply die because it is their time to go.
Everybody who loved them grieves over them.
They all remember them and the many things that they did
In their lives to make them smile or laugh.
They remember all the many deeds that person did for someone else.
They remember the good times they had with them and look at their life's achievements.

But who are the Forgotten Ones?
The ones left behind who are left alone.
The ones who not only have to deal with grief over losing their loved one,
But also have to deal with life's stresses and obligations;
Who have to try to carry on their day-to-day life
And, especially, have to try to be brave for their children, grandchildren, or other family members.

Who are the Forgotten Ones?
Everyone remembers the ones who have passed and their lives,
But they soon forget about the ones left behind.
Those who have gone on (assuming they are right with God) are no longer in pain or sorrow.
They are happy, healthy, and carefree.
But those who are left behind are still dealing with pain, sorrow, stress, loneliness, financial obligations and the like.
Oh, yes, people will pay their respects, say kind words, and even give of themselves for a short time.
But soon everyone forgets about them and assumes they are okay,
But are they? Are they really okay?

Who are the Forgotten Ones?
They are the ones still dealing with their loss, days, months, or even years later.
Those friends, family members, and associates always remember those who are gone and revere them, but forget about the ones who are still here.
No one even considers their duties, the things they have done for others, or what they may be going through.
Why is it that you don't get remembered until you die?

Who are the Forgotten Ones?
The ones people sometimes try to avoid because they just don't know what to say or do,
So they just don't do anything but try to Forget about them.
