As a society, we have lost faith and trust in other people. The news broadcasts stories everyday about how man betrays another man. Even, Peter denied that he knew Jesus before final day. Jesus, was betrayed by Judas. Even our country has been betrayed by Government officials. Human beings are imperfect at most, and our faith and trust in man has been shaken. As Christians, we know that God will not betray us the bible shows us in Psalms 118, verses 6- 9 that we should take refuge in the Lord, rather than man.

Additionally, in Psalms 37 verses 3- 6 it states, Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. These passages demonstrates that should commit ourselves fully to God, and he will intervene on our behalf. God is our protector, our deliverer, and our light. In him, we should keep him first in our lives. If we place our trust in him God will protect us.

In Psalms 91, it shows us if we place our trust in the Lord our God, we will not fear the night for he is with us. The entire Psalm is a cornerstone of trust in God. It also shows us that we hold fast to our love for him deliver us, protect us, and when we call out for God he will answer. In the end of Psalm 91 it states; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.". This commands us to love God and in return for that love, he will grant us a long life, and salvation. Psalm 91, clearly shows that if we trust in God he will be our overseer.

God loves us unconditionally, and through our love and trust in him we allow God to protect us and help keep us on track for eternal salvation. "And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you."
Psalm 9:10. This passage tells us that even though we may sometimes falter, but if we put our trust in God he will always be by our said. The bible is full of scriptures that talk about how we should trust God. The entire book of Psalms shines the direct spotlight on our trust in God.

In Matthew 8, the bible tells us of a story about a centurion that approaches Jesus, and tells him that his servant was gravely ill. The story goes on to say that the centurion had enough trust and faith in God that Jesus healed the servant. In verse 13, it gives us Jesus last words to the centurion: Then Jesus said to the centurion, "Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you." And his servant was healed that same hour.

Verse 8 of that same chapter, describes to us that belief and trust are parallel in meaning. We can believe in something, and also trust in the same belief. God wants us to believe in him therefore we must trust him and all the commands that are given to us throughout the bible. And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you. Psalm 9:10. Again, the passage simply says if we put our trust in God, we will not forsake us.

As Christians, it is vitally important that we put our faith, our belief, and our trust in God. He is the great deliverer, healer, communicator, and our savior. The book of Psalms is a wonderful to read about how we trust in the Lord, and tells us what God will do for us if we do place our trust in him.

The bible gives us numerous examples of how and why we should put our faith and trust in God. While man may betray or abandon us, God will always be with us. So place your trust in God and receive the many blessings that will be bestowed upon you. God is great, and as it states on the back of our currency "In God We Trust." This is all we need to know. As always, when you go out find someone, give them a hug and tell them that you love them, and that God does too.

Remember to always enjoy your walk with God. It can be the highest of highs. You will have no better sensation in your life. If you like the article, you can follow my journey and find out how God had changed my life.
