Like arrows to the soul
Inflicting more than pain
They leave a gaping hole
If only they were passing through
To be remembered no more
But angry words leave scars
Inflicting damage to the core
It is never soon forgotten
Though the wound is gone
And though you say your sorry
The memory lives on

How many times have I thought of this after the words came out? This is so true, words said to us never completely go away, just as words said to others. I cant remember a lot of the nice things people have said, only the bad. This is excellent!
