Encouragement

Tonight, Lord, my soul fills so tired and so weary, but your Word tells me I can come to you and find sweet rest.

In our world today there is so much worry, strife, and troubles on every hand. It seems as though there is no peace to be found. But I know, Lord, that you are the peace giver and these ugly storms of life will be calmed at just the mention of your name because your Word says that even the wind and the rains obey your voice and peace comes in.

My face and my eyes feel as though I've been crying for hours but no tears have fallen except the ones I've cried within. But your Word tells m, Lord, that there is coming a day when you will wipe away all tears, those we shed outwardly as well as those we've shed inwardly that the world cannot see. Your Word also says that weeping endures for the night but joy comes in the morning. What a glorious morning that will be!

A feeling of loneliness is trying to take me over. But your Word, Lord, tells me that you will always be by my side, you will never forsake me but will be with me until the end of the age and beyond.

Discouragement and hopelessness are trying to fill my thoughts with giving up, but your Word, Lord, tells me that my real hope is in you through the blood you shed on the Cross of Calvary and my strength and encouragement come fromknowing that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me because greater is he that is within me than he that is in the world.

The joy that burned so brightly within my soul this morning, has burned down to only a flicker of light,. But you Lord are the light of the world and it's through walking in your light that causes my cup of oil to overflow with gladness and my light to once again become a bright and shining light reaching out to others. Thank you Lord for your Word that brings rest, peace,calm, comfort, encouragement, hope, strength, joy, fellowship and a light to to guide our footsteps as we journey through a world filled with darkness.
I pray that my light will always shine for you. But should it begin to flicker and die, I pray that I will remember that it is you and you alone that has the oil to keep it burning brightly.
Thank you Lord for all your blessings you have bestowed upon me and may all praise, all glory and all honor be given unto you my Savior and my God. Amen
