Glory and Peace are with those in Jesus Christ. I want to write this day about Mark chapter 10.

We find the Lord teaching as usual, about how God views marriage. Its clear God intended marriage to be covenant. This past weekend I visited San Francisco. As always, they were celebrating something, this time it was pride week. Some asked if I would be attending, I declined. Instead, I read Mark 10: 5-9, which explained God’s view of two twines, becoming one in flesh. Of course, these verses talks about marriage between a man and a woman, not between same sexes. He continues to explain that if a man or woman is divorced its adultery. Too many people live for divorce. Marriage is not to be a transactional process used to advance ones career or to be used as a trampoline from partner to partner. Clarity is required when you approach this subject. I’m not for same sex marriage, but homophobic action is not right. We should accept people where they are in life and not condemn them. For we are not the judge of goodness, that job belongs to Jesus Christ.

Another important message of Mark 10 is eternal life. If you understand being rich, meaning flush with cash, or maintain abundance of wealth. That reaching eternal life is more difficult than a camel going through an eye of a needle. Jesus explained to a person to give all he had to the poor and follow him. How many people you know are willing to give up all they have, wife, job, sports, and live to serve others?

The last main point Jesus makes is that He is part of one house. God Almighty will determine who will sit at Jesus right hand. Please don’t walk around thinking you are good enough to walk in heaven. Just as God determines who sits at the right hand of Jesus. Is the same being determining who walks in the house of the Lord thy God?
