He is the Way and the Truth,
   He is the loving Life.
He faced death and rose as proof;
   only the Life could rise.
So He can offer Life in abundance,
   regardless of your state.
Embrace Life with repentance
   and leave death's darkened gate.

Only the proud and the fool
   will play the Lord with death.
They think it can be their own tool
   at the risk of final breath. 

You have said, “I have purpose.”
   You are right to say.
This pain and loss is just the surface;
   Eternity is where you'll stay.
You have gifts. This He promised;
   those will lead you to Him.
He cannot lie, but has been honest;
   anything less is mere sin.

Think of it: He only lives
   and He only lives for you!
Give Him back what He gives,
   and live for Him so true.

He is the one and only Man
   you could ever trust.
To worship less like the damned
  will leave you less than rust.

These are the words I should have said
   so listen to what I give.
For the One who has bled,
   for Him you must live!
 
This I'll pray, all for you;
   the Spirit keeps me restricted
All I can pray, all as true,
   that you are so convicted.
