BROKEN SPIRIT REVIVED

Created to love you so true
Now crushed by your lie
A broken heart made blue
Only to ask and wonder why.
.
My love for you, you abused
I lived with you without regard
In my mind I am so confused
To love again will be hard.

My pain caused by one lie
My spirit broken and crushed
Can you see that in my eye
Mind and soul now hushed.

Will I be able to trust again?
Can I recover from the lie?
A new life I must begin
I will always wonder why.

I won’t let my spirit die
I can, I will, I must survive
To forgive this I must try
My life, my love I revive.

I may not understand why
I will turn my love above
He is God the most high
I place my life in his love.
