ISLAND IN THE SKY

There is an island in the sky
A mysterious and wonderful place
Tales of it told of by those so few
The key to enter it is by grace.

Untouched by the living race
Fully mountainous and green
Lined with gold everything else
Joy and love a heavenly scene.

Strange creatures of many kinds
All with one thing in common
Some with wings others with eyes
Everything there in is uncommon.

Waterfalls that flow all year round
Plants and trees countless they grow
All tended by keepers with no sound
Clean and shining each as they go.

There are wonders and sights unseen
Found in man’s hearts and in dreams
A small voice calls all from birth
Someday we all have to leave earth.

Look carefully it is where it’s not
There is only one that will let you in
There is a secret, a secret in the sky
It’s only found, a place when you die

The keeper of the gate St. Peter’s the name
Jesus son of God you need to know
You can’t enter in if you are unclean
Believe in Jesus or you can't go!
