MY LORD

My God My God why have you forsaken me
These were the words spoken at Calvary
This cross now has set me free
My life I now freely give to thee.

On that cross did His body die
The angels in heaven they did cry
Forgiveness of sin Jesus did buy.
In the grave for three days His body lie

Into the depths of hell he was sent
Captives he freed as he went
Satan shook with astonishment
For Jesus would not relent.

Oh death now where is your sting
The Lord of Lords now is King.
Listen now how the angels sing
Glory to God He wears the ring.

Victory and praise to our Lord
In Heaven and on earth you are adored.
