I thought of weapons of a soldier for the Lord...
and what needed ingredients, one must render
And here is the picture, my heart has seen
that is, the heart it must surrender)
One can either pray like as David did...
or be stubborn and go out like Saul
Have a repented heart like David
or be disobedient like Saul and fall)
Have a joyful song in your heart like David...
or have anger and bitterness just like Saul
You can pray for your enemies whoever they are
rather they be great or small)
Be loving and forgiving like as David...
or have hate to plot, and kill like Saul
Be merciful and full of sorrow like David
or be cruel and spare no one at all)
You can have a giving, and understanding spirit...
not be selfish or jealous, and full of spite
And take the word of God to help you
to do the things that is right)
For pride comes before the fall...
causing one, to lose out with God
That's why it's better to admit we need help
so God will always be on our side)
David was man after God's own heart...
who cried out to God in prayer
And we too can choose which way to go
so no one can ever say, that God wasn't fair
