Sinners Want Sympathy In Their Mess

Why do sinners always cry for sympathy and make excuses for the mess they are in? Have not Jesus Christ died and took away all excuses for sin? If He didn’t have sympathy for sin why should we? If God put away all excuses for sin once and for all should not we? Sin is unacceptable in the life of man. Man sin because it’s his desire to sin. Sin is pleasurable. Man enjoy it, it pleases the flesh and not the Spirit. They that do evil will not prepare their hearts to seek the Lord. They try their best to bring a clean thing out of an unclean thing. They use their mouth to speak things that cause their flesh to sin. The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked. I am talking about a sinner, one that commits sin.

John 8:34 Jesus answered them, verily, verily, I say unto you whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

Romans 14:23 for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

James 1:14-15 but every man is tempted when he is drawn away of his own lust and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived it bringeth forth sin, and sin, when it is finished bringeth forth death.

Luke 24:44-47 And He said unto them, these are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses and in the prophets, and in all the psalms, concerning me. Then opened he their understanding that they might understand the scriptures, and said unto them, thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day; and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Sin is a transgression of the law of God, disobedience to or violation of the divine commands; moral depravity; iniquity; wickedness; unrighteousness/ ungodliness. Sin includes, not only actions, but neglect of know duties; all evil thoughts, words, acts; and , all that is contrary to the law of God. Sin may consist in commission, when a known divine law is violated; or, in omission, when a duty is willfully neglected. To violate God’s divine laws as set forth in His sacred Book is to sin; to violate His divine laws of life, and health, knowingly, is to sin; to violate God’s law of the still small voice, the conscience, is to sin; to violate God’s law, written or unwritten, is a sin. Deadly or mortal sin; any willful transgression which deprives a soul of divine grace and the unpardonable sin, the sin against the Holy Spirit as found in Matthew 12:31.

God gave us mercy for sin once we no longer desire to sin. We can’t sin and not have a godly sorrow for doing it except we have crossed over into a state of a reprobate. Sympathy means we have compassion, understanding, and consolation for or show warmth, solace, or comfort toward one in need of it. The desire is the want, wished for, coveting, craving, or need for something. Pleasure is enjoyment, delight, and happiness in something we like and find amusement in. It is our preference for and desire to have or do what it is we like. Enjoyment is satisfaction derived from doing the sin, gratification, the entertainment derived from it and the desire to further indulge in the diversion. Repentance again means we are sorry for our acts, have remorse for doing the acts and have self-reproach and regret because we accept blame for the act and feel the condemnation that comes with it.

Reprobate means we have gone so far into sin that we are rejected as worthless or not standing a test; condemned. It also means we are foreordained to damnation, morally corrupt, and deprived of character. For one to be reprobate they are strongly condemned as unworthy, unacceptable or evil. The lifestyles of one reprobate should never be acceptable but refused. It is to be continually rejected and criticized until change comes but if not it brings forth death. A reprobate lifestyle is one that expressed disappointment in or displeasure with is conduct that should always be frown upon, blameworthy and in need of amendment.

Jesus came and lived as a man in the flesh so he knows of the desires, the pleasure, the enjoyment, repentance, and the state of one becoming a reprobate. Therefore he empathizes with man in their condition but He has not sympathy for the sin. Man must make up his mind that they no longer want to be a sinner. If man will confess his sin God is faithful and just to forgive their sin. They though must make a choice to commit their lives to God, accept Jesus Christ as Lord and receive the Holy Ghost that will help them to keep their commitment. If then they commit sin again they should repent and ask God to help them not to desire to do that sin again. Most people wait too long to ask God to help them to leave sin alone. They wait until their sin has been found out before they become sorry for their sin. This is wrong because we are sorry more because we got caught than we are about the sin. We should be godly sorry at the first state of sin if we say we are a born again believer and continue in a repentant spirit throughout the Christian life.

When we don’t continue in repentance we lose the need for it. We fail to meet the requirements of salvation and deliverance that is demanded by God through the Word and we overstep the Spirit of God that once reigned in our lives. Once we have lost a repentant spirit we don’t feel the necessity of hearing the Word. Faith however comes through the hearing of the Word. Deliverance comes through hearing the Word. The first thing Satan takes away from the believer is the hearing of the Word because he knows that if we hear the Word will change our minds and heart toward God. The Word causes us to have the same likeness as Jesus had when He walked in the earth. We have the same similarity. Because Jesus came to save, recover, redeem, salvage and retrieve us from sin we become soldiers also to bring liberation and release to the sinner. With Satan this is a no-no. He seeks to steal, kill, and destroy any relationship man may have with God. But Jesus came that we might have life and having it more abundantly spiritually.

We must become determined to remain constant and steadfast in the perseverance of our declaration that we are Christians. Jesus withheld nothing from us but gave us a claim to salvation if we desired it, saved us and gave us grace, and conserved us with mercy if we continued in steadfast endurance. We must study to show ourselves approved of God, workmen that need not be ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Sin has a season in the life of man but when truth comes we must reject it and abandon the desire for sin. Sin must become repulsive, offensive and disgusting to us that we will not allow it to take hold of us again. It must take its leave in the life of the believer. The believer must relinquish sin and quit it. We must become submissive and yielding to the Word of God. It’s time we salvage our souls.

Whosoever is born of God does not commit sin; we can be born again today and God seed will remain in us where we cannot sin because we are born of God. All unrighteousness is sin but God is faithful and just to forgive us today if we confess our sin and turn our lives over to Him. We are to confess our sin and our faults today, pray for ourselves and others that we all may be healed and delivered. If we say that we have no sin we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. God will forgive us and cleanse us from all our unrighteousness. Will we trust God today, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous, the propitiation for our sins, and not ours only but for the whole world.

God will be merciful to our unrighteousness and sins and iniquities and He will remember them no more. Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sin are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. Come to Jesus today.
