If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.(2Chronicles 7:14)

We have two distinct criteria here. God gives His people (us) a promise and a big "IF". So, let's get busy developing a humble spirit, pray continually and turn from our wicked ways. If, and when, we do this, God will heal our land. If we, as a body of believers, decide to fail in this task, we may all be subject to any number of "What If" realties.

WHAT IF
Freedom meant owning only subsidized land
Freedom meant being on a communal welfare plan
Freedom meant standing in the unemployment line
Freedom meant having food stamps that confined
Freedom meant having all utility bills be paid
Freedom meant having all housing cost stayed
Freedom meant to never consider a conflict war
Freedom meant to never count the battle score
Freedom meant that all labors work be in vain
Freedom meant that the cost of living be a strain
Freedom meant having laws passed and not read
Freedom meant that our constitution be dead
Freedom meant that we were taxed beyond means
Freedom meant that the taxes were in our genes
Freedom meant that choice heath care be given up
Freedom meant that prescription care run a muck
Freedom meant our earned retirement going away
Freedom meant our deserved pensions be astray
Freedom meant outsiders rejected liberties stand
Freedom meant giving cash the outsiders demand
Freedom meant a new system sink liberties boat
Freedom meant our liberty no longer be afloat
Freedom meant news media setting all good aside
Freedom meant news media forgetting their pride
Freedom meant that election falsehoods be spread
Freedom meant honest election truth be mislead
Freedom meant that foreign language be spoken
Freedom meant our heritage was forever broken
Freedom meant we were in a social equality state
Freedom meant that crude authority seal our fate
Freedom meant we no longer voted our mind
Freedom meant elections were a waist of time
Freedom meant to be instructed how to pray
Freedom meant having the Bible be taken away
Freedom meant to not be allowed a liberty fight
Freedom meant to not be able to teach right
Freedom meant having a church be called the state
Freedom meant to always have to enter that debate
Freedom meant not worshiping as we please
Freedom meant not telling the truth with ease
Freedom meant not stand against the unjust laws
Freedom meant not able to support gospels cause
Freedom meant not allowed to be put to the test
Freedom meant not having America be blessed

Yes I know these are all make-shift "What If's" . But what would happen if any number of these provisional "What If's were to became a reality. God forbid.

"and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free." (John 8:32)
