Prophecy
Six days ago would have been a special woman's sixtieth birthday - her diamond jubilee. That woman was my precious mother (Doris Hamahuwa Mudenda), who ended her sojourn on planet earth two years and four months ago. She is removed from the sorrows that plague this world. No pain afflicts there. No malaria to weaken the body. No diabetes to debilitate. No one thirsts and none hungers. Sin no more taints and evil hath not the power to corrupt. None of the earthly trials are borne in that place. She is free at last! In her parting words, spoken in London (England), three months before she slept; "if we don't see each other again on planet earth (in this life), then let us meet on the Sea of Glass."
Last Friday, 18th May 2012, monarchs from twenty seven countries gathered to celebrate the diamond jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. It also happened to be the night that the lit Olympic torch arrived in London (with a high profile escort) aboard BA2012. This marked the beginning of seventy days countdown to the London 2012 Olympics. The excitement in the enthusiasts was almost palpable. The money and preparation that goes into these games, which originated in Ancient Greece (nearly 2,800 years ago) is simply astounding. All that for just sixteen days! So powerful is the spirit of Olympus!
But I would like to discuss a different celebration. In the book of Leviticus, the Israelites were commanded to observe the fiftieth year and refrain from agricultural activity; from the forty-ninth year (seven times seven). Jehovah Jireh promised He would supply, in every seventh year, enough sustenance to last them three years. The seven year cycles were given so that the earth would enjoy her Sabbath. In the year of jubilee, the land was to revert to its original owner after which it had been sold and every man was to return to his possession and his family. As with all Divine instructions there is always a deeper meaning attached. This was to set a precedent, reference and a timeline for future generations.
"And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years. Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubile to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the Day of Atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land. And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family." (Leviticus 25:8-10)
God had provided through the observance of the jubilee that no one among the children of Israel would be utterly destitute - for debts were cancelled and the hired servant freed from his obligation. The earth also had an opportunity for regeneration through the sabbatical years and jubilees. If this ordinance was faithfully observed and the commandments kept, no one would lack. It is the perfect blueprint for the equitable distribution of national wealth and the exclusion of poverty. Moreover, it was intended to preserve the inheritance of the tribes and their boundaries; as originally apportioned by Joshua (the son of Nun). It should be noted that what this is saying (emphatically) is: Canaan primarily belongs to Israelites for a perpetual inheritance. This is the promise the LORD gave unto Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. It was a time of restoration, redemption, forgiving of debts and liberty. "At the end of every seven years thou shalt make a release. And this is the manner of the release: Every creditor that lendeth ought unto his neighbour shall release it; he shall not exact it of his neighbour, or of his brother; because it is called the LORD's release." But alas, today we see the very opposite happening - the wealthy prey upon the poor and banks exact exorbitant interests. Even the so-called austerity measures are designed to punish those who are already struggling to pay their debts. This ought not to be so! You shall not solve the economic crisis by lending on usury and imposing unbearable weights on the people. If the leading economists and financial experts spared a moment to study the Holy Bible, they would come up with sound policies and would have the wisdom to meet the challenges of the times.
I embarked on a spiritual renewal on Friday, 6th April 2012, to last for seventy days (praying seven times a day) until Friday, 15th June 2012. (Today is my forty-ninth). Last Sabbath, while in prayer, I asked the LORD to reveal to me the prophetic significance of the biblical jubilee. And I immediately, understood that it would be seventy jubilees (3,500 years) between the Exodus from Physical Egypt to the Exodus from Spiritual Egypt. Furthermore, it dawned on me that 6000 years from the creation of Adam and Eve is exactly hundred and twenty jubilees. I was filled with indescribable joy at this revelation, which I confirmed with a subsequent seven hours of research on the internet and from the Scriptures. Though we may never know the exact endpoint, we shall most certainly be able to discern when it is nigh. The reason for this is, in the first instance; it is not for us to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in His own power; secondly, because of the change from the lunar to the solar calendar and Julian to Gregorian etc. It also became apparent to me that from the parting of the red sea, to the baptism of Jesus in the river Jordan; was about thirty jubilees and from the first advent to the second shall be about forty jubilees. The vision of two thousand three hundred evenings and mornings, reckoned in years, covers a span of forty-six jubilees. The Word of God (HaDavar Elohim) reveals that at the right time; Yeshua HaMashiach appeared (and declared the time is fulfilled! (He was about thirty years old when His ministry began). He later promised: Verily I say unto you, this generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
"Then shall the land enjoy her sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate... As long as it lieth desolate it shall rest; because it did not rest in your sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it." It is abundantly clear from the quotation above that "Ehyeh-Asher-Ehyeh" takes His statutes very seriously. It is for this reason that He shall cause the land to rest for twenty jubilees (one thousand years). Once again it shall be as it was in the beginning without form and void, after which it is emptied of its inhabitants. "Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof... The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken this word." And also: "I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light. I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly. I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled. I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger." The imagery here set forth, paints a major extinction of the species. There shall not be left one metropolis standing and no city will be spared. Of course at this juncture the faithful would have been translated (raptured as some would call it).
"The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine, for ye are strangers and sojourners with me. And in all the land of your possession ye shall grant a redemption for the land." (Leviticus 25:23,24)
We are merely sojourners and strangers on planet earth. All we are tenants and Jehovah the sole Landlord. He is the Creditor and we the debtors. The earth is His and the fullness thereof. Soon the kingdoms of this world shall become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ. The redeemed have an everlasting inheritance based upon better promises. We desire a better country, that is, a heavenly. At last we shall be free from sin's loathsome taint, evil's corrupting influence and death's cold embrace; when the Rock of Ages (our Deliverer) turns the captivity of His people and cancels our debts. Yeah! Even the captives of the mighty shall be released and the dead in Christ shall be raised (incorruptible and immortal). That great day shall be proclaimed with the blast of the archangel's trumpet, as prefigured by the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur). "For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first." It's time to finish God's work! Prepare to meet thy God, O Israel! It's almost jubilee!
"When the seventh angel blows his trumpet, God's mysterious plan will be fulfilled. It will happen just as he announced it to his servants the prophets."
In closing, I would like to recommend the following hymns:
WHEN THEY RING THE GOLDEN BELLS
There's a land beyond the river,
That we call the sweet forever,
And we only reach that shore by faith's decree;
One by one we'll gain the portals,
There to dwell with the immortals,
When they ring the golden bells for you and me.
Refrain
Don't you hear the bells now ringing?
Don't you hear the angels singing?
Tis the glory hallelujah Jubilee.
In that far off sweet forever,
Just beyond the shining river,
When they ring the golden bells for you and me.
We shall know no sin or sorrow,
In that haven of tomorrow,
When our barque shall sail beyond the silver sea;
We shall only know the blessing
Of our Father's sweet caressing,
When they ring the golden bells for you and me.
Refrain
When our days shall know their number,
And in death we sweetly slumber,
When the King commands the spirit to be free;
Nevermore with anguish laden,
We shall reach that lovely Eden,
When they ring the golden bells for you and me.
Refrain

WE'VE NO ABIDING CITY HERE
1
We've no abiding city here;
Sad truth, were this to be our home;
But let this thought our spirits cheer,
We seek a city yet to come;
We seek a city yet to come.
2
We've no abiding city here,
We seek a city out of sight;
Zion its name the Lord is there
It shines with everlasting light;
It shines with everlasting light.
3
O sweet abode of peace and love,
Where pilgrims, freed from toil, are blest!
Had I the pinions of a dove,
I'd fly to thee, and be at rest
I'd fly to thee, and be at rest.
4
But hush, my soul! Nor dare repine;
The time my God appoints is best;
While here, to do His will be mine,
And His to fix my time of rest,
And His to fix my time of rest.

DAYS OF ELIJAH
These are the days of Elijah
Declaring the word of the Lord
And these are the days of Your servant Moses
Righteousness being restored
These are the days of great trials
Of famine and darkness and sword
Still we are the voice in the desert crying
Prepare ye the way of the Lord!
Behold He comes, riding on the clouds (twice)
Shining like the sun at the trumpet's call
Lift your voice, it's the year of Jubilee
Out of Zion's hill, salvation comes
And these are the days of Ezekiel
The dry bones becoming as flesh
And these are the days of Your servant, David
Rebuilding a temple of praise
And these are the days of the harvest
The fields are all white in Your world
And we are the labourers in Your vineyard
Declaring the Word of the Lord
Behold He comes, riding on the clouds (twice)
Shining like the sun at the trumpet's call
Lift your voice, it's the year of Jubilee
Out of Zion's hill, salvation comes
There's no God like Jehovah! (Seven times)
Behold He comes, riding on the clouds (twice)
Shining like the sun at the trumpet's call
Lift your voice, it's the year of Jubilee
Out of Zion's hill, salvation comes
