I didn't know I was blind until He opened my eyes.
I didn't know the truth until He exposed the lies.
I didn't know I was deaf until He made me hear.
I thought I was invincible, He gave me fear.
He gave me comfort when I had no peace.
He gave me strength when I was weak.
I didn't realize I was dull until He made me shine.
I didn't know I was drinking water until He turned it into wine.
He allowed me to be lonely now I appreciate companionship.
He allowed me to be depressed now I can experience happiness.
He allowed me to go through addiction so I can appreciate in-dependency.
I didn't know who I was, He gave me a new identity.
He gave me hurt, so I can experience pleasure.
He came through for me with extraordinary measures.
He set me free in a way I cannot explain,
I was in pieces He made me whole again.
He was there for me when no one else cared.
He carried my burdens when they were too much to bare.
He gave me patience in the midst of anger.
He gave me protection in the presence of danger.
When I was sick, He gave me health.
When I was poor, He gave me wealth.
He gave me a prayer when I didn't have a care.
He was my friend when no one else was there.
I was in darkness, He showed me the light.
He made all my wrongs, and turned them into rights.
Just as I thought I was dying, I was reborn.
He saved my soul though it was broken, shorn, mangled and torn.
Though my life has been and will be full of judgement, pain, heartache, and sorrow;
I know that Jesus will give me a brighter tomorrow.
He released my chains that were bound by sin.
Thank you God for a little piece of Hell
now I can go to Heaven.
Amen!
