Absent from God
absent from life
soul separated from
glorious light.

So far away from
the only real truth
weeping and gnashing is
all that I do.

Cries of despair, they
hang in the air
crushing, controlling they
rip and they tear, I

cannot escape them, they
always are there, a
moment of peace I
find it nowhere.

Cry out, Cry out!
it does me no good! I
only hear cackling and
endless flames crackling, the
woes, they keep stacking, not
a thing I can do but
scream my regrets, my
curses and then, start
the whole process all over again.

My God, My God!
I found out too late
I never had to
up with this fate, if

only I’d listened, if
only believed, the
best place to live life was
down on my knees.
