I am weary, growing old,

Take this sadly sinning soul,
To the streets paved with gold.
I have lived with sins untold,

Bring me now into your fold.
Long ago was my soul sold?
To the devil did I go?

Now I hear the thunder roll.
Lightning strikes and bells toll.
My time has come and I must go.

As I leave this world of old,
Lift me from the dark and cold.
Take me to the place you hold.
