In America we have not experienced mass death, except for the Twin Towers in New York. There have not been mass epidemics of any sort for over 60+ years.

Certainly, some of us experience the deaths of children and husbands and wives. Almost all of us experience the death of the elderly, grandparents and mothers and fathers, but we have not experienced death and destruction such as is planned for us by our enemies at this time.

Maybe God will spare us IF enough of us repent and pray. Maybe He will extend His hand of protection, but only if we repent. God says that.

Have we repented as a Nation? I don’t know. I have been repenting and praying, but is the number of repenters sufficient to stay the tide of devastation planned for us? I don’t know. But I do know that if or when we get the news that a loved one has died it is of paramount importance to us that we know where their soul has gone.

In our American Church of the past 40 + years we have become too polite to mention to anyone that they will surely go to Hell unless they receive the salvation Jesus has provided. In truth, not all Christians believe that there is a Hell and why they should believe that there is a Heaven I do not know, since the same Book that tells of Heaven tells of Hell. The same Jesus that tells of Heaven, tells us of Hell. Why are we ignoring it?

I have lost two sons to physical death, but I do know by their confession and lives that they are in Heaven. Nothing fills the space left emptied by their passing, but my joyful confidence is that I will see them again. They are in my future.

But I am not equally comforted by the same confidence for some of those who remain alive. If I should hear of their passing, I would grieve for my lack of confidence. Their lives are in spiritual disarray and their confession is blasphemous.

Oh how I pray to God for His intervention in their lives and for them to repent and come back to God.

My question is for you. Are you, like me, knowledgeable of family and friends who are not in righteous standing in Jesus? Why do we not writhe in agony for their souls?

Time is of the essence.

No one escapes death; it is only a matter of time. We do not know the time.
