“I AM A SINNER”

I am a sinner that is rotten to the core.
Each and every day I sin a little more.
Why must I always do the things that I freely do?
My mind is at a loss, I haven’t got a clue.
Wait, I found it, here in this book.
Let’s open up our Bible and take a closer look.
Here in the book of Genesis that’s where we start to see.
Just what the real trouble is that’s deep inside of me!
You see in the garden they lived without sin.
That is until Satan, decided to jump in.
The tree was very beautiful and pleasing to their eye.
God told them not to eat from it or they will surely die.
I know you have heard the story of the forbidden fruit.
Some of us understand it while others don’t give a hoot.
You see this is where our sin nature got its awful start.
Now I find its bitter roots running deep within my heart.
I can’t fix this problem that I face each and every day.
But the more I dig into this book the more I see God’s way.
You see God sent His only Son to pay for all our sins.
It takes the blood of JESUS CHRIST to truly make amends.
So if you’re going through this life not knowing what to do.
I pray that you will understand that Jesus DIED FOR YOU.
