The rainbow appears after the rain
Like joy after the pain.
The spectrum of light bright and clear
A seven colored arc across the sky
Lifting our own spirits on high.

The rainbow is a delight to view
A beautiful natural phenomenon.
A spectacular panorama to the eyes
The distinct bands a reflect on life.

The rainbow is God’s master painting
To color the sky with hope and faith.
It colors our hearts in gladness as well
As each color its own significance tells.

Red the symbol of His own blood to save
Orange the mark of His power and rule.
Yellow a sign of His glory and divinity
Green the new life to be lived in eternity.

Blue the touch of his healing mercy
Indigo the richness and fullness of love.
Violet stands for His royalty and majesty
At His passion when He donned the purple robe.

The rainbow is a solemn reminder
A great promise sealed in time
Never to flood the earth again
In the days of Noah and the ark.

A sign of the covenant between God and man
God’s own bow set in the sky.
Forgiveness and peace visible in the display
God’s gaze forever fixed on it.
