“Loving Grace”



One day I was thinking about my life.
Then something cut me like a knife.
Where will I go when I die?
This really hit me and don’t know why.
What was making me think this way?
Maybe it was a really bad day.
You see these thoughts never occurred to me.
At how lost a man could be.
Something made me look down deep.
To find the answers that I seek.
Over and over this went through my head.
What will happen when I am dead?
Then all of a sudden I almost fell.
You see I was headed straight for hell.
That’s the day I found His grace.
And had the desire to seek His face.
He showed me that on Calvary’s’ cross.
He paid for it all to save the lost.
That’s when I began to see.
The cross was really meant for me.
The nails they used were sharp that day.
How could they do my Lord this way?
King of the Jews they mocked out loud!
Save yourself; yelled the crowd!
He lifted His eyes and looked above.
Now that the meaning of true love.
They thought it was over, that dreadful day.
A tomb is where they placed Him to stay.
Three days later they found His clothes.
The tomb was empty, He arose!!!
Now He is back with the Father you see.
Covering all my sins for me.
These are the things I saw that day.
He even showed me how to pray.
I learned to be a better man.
And serve the Lord the best I can.
My only wish for all who read.
Just one chance to plant a seed.
