I have come to the end another day
Sitting here typing away
Grateful to God for all he has given
Thankful tonight just to be living

Today was a day full of frustrations
Laughter, tears, revelations
Spirit within me moves freely tonight
Soul shining through with beautiful light

On my knees in thoughtful prayer
With my Lord and savior do I now share
My thoughts and hopes for the next day
Forgive me my sins, oh Lord I do pray

Lord give me tomorrow as you have today
The strength to have faith just as you say
Take me from darkness into the light
Keep me beneath your wings tonight

Tender mercies for tomorrow
Keep my feelings of great sorrow
Set me on high that I may see
Salvation come to a sinner like me
