I will follow where He leads me each step of the way.
I will pasture where He feeds me each hour of the day.
Though life's pathway journeys be rough and steep.
I know that He has promised my soul to surely keep
I will follow where He leads me each step of the way

I will follow where He leads me though dark is the way
I will follow where ever He leads. in His will to ever stay
The mountains may turn to valleys in my earthly trod.
By His Holy guidance forgotten travels I will applauded
I will follow where He leads me each step of the way

Do you remember the Hansel and Gretel fairy tale, where by the two young children tried to leave a trail of bread crumbs to guide them out of the woods and back home. Only to find the birds had eaten the crumbs, leaving them lost in the woods.

Our pathway of life may not be guided by bread crumbs, but our walk with our Lord can surely be eaten up by our misdeeds, causing us to become lost from His way for our lives.
You will make known to me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
In Your right hand there are pleasures forever (Psalms 16:11)
