IDOLATRY TODAY:

The sin of idolatry is that no picture or image can begin to represent the glory and the wonder of the Almighty Creator.

In fact, nothing external can show even a part of the Most High’s majesty, dignity and splendor.

Because Yahweh isn’t one dimensional. He is in the past, the present and the future and in every inch of the vast universe.

God exists in Presence, Mind and Spirit throughout all the limitless space of the cosmos. No one has a canvass that big.

The splendor and magnificence of Jehovah can never correctly be reduced to a small object or doctrine on planet earth, never.

If a human can begin to understand even a small portion of one facet of God’s Being and Character during her lifetime, it is a miracle.

More than all that, God is love; not that He possesses love, but He IS the very definition of love – Calvary gives but a glimpse of it.

How can any Being so grand ever be comprehended by sinful humans? We can’t begin to grasp or portray God accurately.

Any attempt will not reveal, but just limit our perception. Only scripture, interpreted by the Holy Spirit, can rightly begin to show Yahweh.
