The Easter flowers
A joy and beauty to the season bring
A deeper meaning behind it all
A strong symbol of life made anew.

The white traditional Easter Lily
Purity, hope goodness and innocence
Symbolic of the Christ like qualities.
The single flower stem that arises
A sign of the Risen Lord back to life.
The trumpet petal shape
God’s own call to His son back to Him.

The Passion Flower lasting three days
A direct relation to the passion of our Lord.
The three stamens akin to the three nail wounds
Even signifying the Trinity or three crosses.
The circle of petals the crown of thorns
The leaves a semblance to the spear in His side.

The bright yellow Daffodils
A symbol of friendship, re-birth and everlasting life
First appearing in the garden of Gethsemane
When the Lord had risen in victory.

The Tulips a sign of perfect love
A new fresh start as spring makes its arrival known.
The Narcissus another Easter flower
The Willows used as palms preceding Easter
The Roses another unique flower.

The Easter flowers combined
A special bouquet make.
A gift offered to the Risen One
A season of rejoicing all in full bloom.
